Requirements: Who Can Apply?

Training Force Learnerships are designed mainly for young South Africans who want to start a career but may not yet have experience. The general requirements are:

• South African citizen

• Aged 18–28

• Unemployed

• Minimum education: usually Grade 10 to Grade 12

• Not already on a full-time study programme

• Not enrolled in another learnership or internship

They also accept learners who have disabilities, as long as they meet the basic criteria and submit proof of their condition.

Most programmes don’t require previous work experience — you get trained while you work.
